Heather Wiley needs a hand

Hey everyone – we’ve got a classmate that could use a hand. Heather Wiley’s husband Cyrus Evans is going through some medical issues right now and they are both self-employed and without insurance. The hospital bills are mounting quickly and they are at risk of getting overwhelmed without the support of the community. Please join me in contributing to the GoFundMe that his daughter has set up to offset some of their medical costs. Thanks for whatever you can contribute in this difficult time for everyone!

Helping out Marin Melton

As most of you know, Jenni (Hudson) Melton’s daughter Marin had a run-in with a shark in Galveston a few weeks ago. At the reunion next weekend, we will be collecting cards, notes, and gifts for Marin. She will be stuck in a wheelchair for the next 6 months, in addition to more surgeries and several doctors’ appointments per week involving long drives; therefore, gifts to keep a six year old entertained would be greatly appreciated. Some of her favorites include chapter books (Junie B. Jones, Beverly Cleary, Laura Ingalls Wilder, etc.), travel games, “on-the-go” coloring or drawing activities, Shopkins, and other toys that require concentration and time. Ali McLane and Tami (Kelley) Griepp are heading up this effort, so you can direct any questions to one of them or myself. Thanks for helping!

25 Years

25 years ago tonight, we (nearly) all walked across a stage together. Some of us couldn’t get our caps and gowns sorted out, 2 of us got stranded on the side of 59 and nearly didn’t make the ceremony, and 1 of us was going to walk – then he wasn’t. Then he did. Fake worm in hand, we each made our way across the threshold of adulthood; grieving the childhood we were leaving behind, but excited about the lifetime of adventures that were in front of us. Come and share those adventures with the rest of us – buy your reunion tickets today!

Reunion Tickets – Purchase by June 17th!

Purchase tickets using the PayPal buttons to the right (please use a bank account or PayPal balance for payment to avoid giving part of our reunion budget to Visa) or you can send money directly from the PayPal app. If you are using the app, send $40 per ticket to “davidpug@yahoo.com” (no “h” in my name) and please use the “sending to friends and family” option. If you prefer to send a check, email me at that address and I will reply with the mailing address.
